Let’s Talk: Cold Brew Sangria

We have gotten into making coffee mocktails recently and they have been SO much fun to play around with! Please note this drink does NOT contain alcohol :)

Both Sarah and her grandma share a favorite drink when going out to dinner, which was is a classic red sangria. So we wanted to make a drink that was vibrant and fun. One worth sharing with a friend!

Here is how to make it:

4 oz Fruity Cold brew (Afterglow -  Costa Rica)

1/4 oz Grenadine (Liber & Co.)

1 oz Cranberry Pomegranate Juice

1 Orange wheel

Garnish with fresh fruit (lime wheel, sliced strawberries, etc.)

Start by building the drink in your desired cup.

Muddle an orange wheel at the bottom of the cup.

Add grenadine, cold brew, and cranberry pomegranate juice.

Stir glass, then add ice.

Garnish with sliced strawberries

See steps for making the fruity cold brew!

Cold Brew:

For this cold brew recipe, we used a 1:9 ratio of coffee to water (100g of Afterglow coffee, 900g water). Coffee grind should be coarse.

Add approx. 20g dried cranberries, 65g orange wheels (quartered), 45g diced apples, and 70g sliced strawberries

Let this steep in the fridge for 24 hours.

Strain and store the cold brew refrigerated in an airtight container.

Enjoy the cold brew as is, or turn it into a cold brew sangria :)

*Please note that since this cold brew was infused with fresh fruits, the shelf life of the cold brew will be a few days less than plain cold brew.
